Description  – The medical services program at AVCMH provides psychiatric services to target a population composed by SED children and SPMI adults. Both of these groups usually experience severe emotional disturbance and/or severe persistent mental illness. We provide psychiatric services to children and adults, through consultation and treatment from psychiatric doctors, NP’s and one PA’s. The Medical Services program works in developing a monitoring tool that will help to identify delays in psychiatric services. Our goal is to identify what process need to be in place to decrease delays in service. The outcome does and will provide a baseline data, allowing us to decrease the waiting period between the requests for services, and receiving services.
